Depending on the department to which the applicant is assigned, he or she is invited to formulate (choose) a topic within the scientific areas of the department.

1. Department of Architecture and Engineering Surveying:

peculiarities of perception and design of closed architectural spaces;
perception modeling of architectural spaces;
system of human living spaces;
effective heat and sound insulation structures of buildings and structures;
technology of building materials production;
thermal insulation materials and structures of buildings and structures;new constructive forms of spatial coatings;
research of joint operation of building structures;
mobile, prefabricated lightweight structures of a new generation for wide use;
functional, planning and volumetric and spatial structure of sports and tourist facilities: tourist and resort hotels, recreation centers and complexes, recreational complexes, sports facilities for winter sports (including skiing and biathlon, alpine skiing);
typology of sports and tourist facilities;
energy-efficient technologies in low-rise residential and public buildings.

2. Department of Building Structures:

research of new forms of building covering shells;
assessment of the operability and reinforcement of building structures under difficult conditions of building structures operation;
issues of torsion consideration in the design of reinforced concrete structures with cracks:
study of joint functioning of building structures;
spatial work of structural systems under various loads and influences of the environment in which the structure operates:
reconstruction of reinforced concrete structures of buildings and structures;
study of spatial rigidity of industrial building frames;
the problem of considering the stiffness of reinforced concrete elements with normal torsional cracks;
seismically safe hanging buildings and structures;
mass application of driven piles in drilled wells;
efficient structural systems of civil and residential buildings;
study of the relationship between the characteristics of ceramic masses and high functional properties of building ceramics;
anisotropic thin-walled building structures with material structure defects;
study of building structures of industrial and agricultural buildings and their protection against aggressive environment.

3. Department of Construction and Operation of Buildings, Roads and Transport Facilities

use of local materials and industrial waste in construction;
energy audit and energy management in universities;
inspection and development of recommendations for the operational reliability of construction and other organizations and enterprises;
conducting field tests of industrial and driven piles with a static pressing load;
environmental, economic and social assessment of the efficiency of engineering structures in the agro-industrial complex;
introduction of energy audit and energy management in universities;
soil-cement piles and foundations;
development of an organizational and economic mechanism for ensuring environmental safety of the road sector
