The material base provides students with practical skills:
– welding laboratory for metal structures.
The department has 6 scientific clubs, which are focused on the key scientific topics of the department, and involve students of 3-5 years of study. In accordance with the directions of the clubs, students have scientific joint publications with the lecturers of the department, participate in the scientific and practical conference of teaching staff, students and graduate students of Sumy NAU and made presentations at the international scientific and practical conference in SNAU.
The Department’s economic contractual work is aimed at the inspection of bases, foundations and structures of buildings and structures and the realization of measures to strengthen them.
The department cooperates with the Research Institute of Building Structures (Kyiv), JSC “Sumzalizobeton”, SPE “Building Science”, Sumy, Design and Research Institute “Promproekt”, Sumy, and has a contract on creative cooperation with the Department of Technical and Technological Disciplines of Uman State Pedagogical University.
