Vadym Shpota graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Sumy National Agrarian University with honors (1997-2002) and obtained a degree in civil engineering. During his fifth year of studies, he worked at Sumy NAU as a part-time instructor at the Department of Building Structures and performed work on strengthening pile foundations.
After graduation in 2002-2003, he worked at Rodnist LLC (Bezdryk village) as the head of the construction and repair department.
In 2003-2006, he worked as a foreman at Budremproekt LLC in Kyiv.
2009 - 2012 he worked at the research and production enterprise “Construction Science” of the Academy of Construction of Ukraine, Sumy, as a senior researcher and was engaged in inspecting the technical condition of industrial and residential buildings and structures that have fallen into adverse operating conditions, made recommendations for their further normal operation. He demonstrated himself as a specialist able to perform complex calculations, analyze the situation and find optimal solutions to restore the technical condition of buildings and structures in difficult operating conditions and after man-made disasters.
Since June 2011 and up to now, he has been holding the position of Director of SPE “Construction Science” of the ABU.
In 2010-2017, he worked part-time at Sumy Construction College as a teacher of special disciplines. At present (2022) he works as a consultant in a specialty discipline.
In 2011-2015, he studied at the postgraduate program of Sumy National University. He also worked part-time as a lecturer at the Department of Building Structures of Sumy NAU (2011-2014).
On May 31, 2012, he became a corresponding member of the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine.
Since late 2012, he has been a member of the All-Ukrainian public organization “Guild of Engineers for Technical Supervision of Construction of Architectural Objects” and a member of the All-Ukrainian public organization “Association of Construction Industry Experts”.
In 2012, he passed professional certification and received certificates:
- Technical supervision engineer series AT No. 001156 date of decision 05.10.2012
- “Expert” (“technical inspection of buildings and structures”), series AE No. 000900, date of resolution 14.11.2012.
V.V. Shpota's scientific and technical activities are aimed at solving complex technical problems and at obtaining and using new knowledge.
